Brad, When I found out about Eat Stop Eat, I was
intrigued about what you had to say. At that time, I was
getting tired of looking at my belly fat - I was 130 pounds
and yet had a 32-inch waist line! I was frustrated and yet
not too desperate to believe every diet fad I encounter. So,
I went to the Eat Stop Eat?s web site and read all the
testimonials. When I still wasn?t sold, I went to look more
information in weight loss forums and found real people
getting results with ESE. So, after a few days of
indecision, I finally bought it.
After 7 weeks of
fasting with ESE, I dropped 9.4 lbs, 4.4% body fat, and 3
inches off my waist! Currently, I am wearing size 5 jeans
(getting smaller each week though) comfortably without any
bulge hanging over my belt. It?s amazing to see that the

There are many other things

especially women, might be afraid to gain some muscles
because they?re afraid to be ?too big.? If you look at my
pictures, you can see that this is not the case. Instead, I
got that lean look that a lot of women want.
With
regards to metabolism, my results speak for themselves. If I
were to have lowered my metabolism due to fasting then, I
wouldn?t have lost 9.4 lbs in 7 weeks right?! Enough said on
that topic. Another thing that I love about ESE is the fact
that my great results motivated to eat even healthier foods.
Because I was seeing the pounds drop, I wanted to speed up
the process even more by eating more fruits and vegetables.
Of course, I will still have cookies, brownies, ice cream,
pizza etc. but I eat them less often now. The choice is

Eat Stop Eat has been an absolute revelation!
After years of trying to follow all the generally accepted
'rules' for body fat loss, inconsistent as they are, I found

You see, I have spent my life studying nutrition
and weight loss, and I have taken a very unusual path that
ultimately led me to writing Eat Stop Eat.
For starters, I
have an honors degree in nutrition. So I understand the classic
academic approach to how we should eat. I spent four years of

I'm happy to give you my short, but
successful story so far. It's week 5 of my Eat Stop Eat
fasting routine, and I have to say it's working pretty well.
Up until a month ago, I was at a serious plateau, hadn't
budged from the same weight (give or take a pound) for 2
months straight. Started your program, without major changes
to anything else but the fasting--my times are usually noon
to noon on Tuesday-Wednesday, and sometimes Friday to
Saturday.
I've lost an additional 9 lbs! Woohoo for
me! I'm 4 lbs. shy of my goal weight. Thanks for giving me
the kick start I needed. It really isn't that much, if any,
of a hardship.
I try to keep busy and out of the
kitchen on the night I'm not eating dinner, or just drink
tea or coffee. I'm typically not a breakfast eater anyway,
so that's not a meal I miss, but the dinner used to be. I
have to say the first week my tummy was making REALLY loud
noises around dinnertime, but these past few weeks I haven't
noticed hunger pains at all. And although I am hungry by the
end of the fast, I'm not ravenously so. I make sure I don't
overeat afterwards, just my normal diet routine. I have lots
of energy, just completed my first 10K walk, in under 2
hours, so I'm pretty happy with that.
I have your
e-book on my desktop, and refer to it often to brush up on
points here and there. But I have to say, if anyone is on
the bubble whether or not they want to try it, I say GO FOR
IT! It's really been great for me, and I would hope for lots
of others.

Hey Brad, I have to tell you... I bought
eat stop eat and LOVE IT! But it seemed TOO easy - really.
I've lost 25lbs so far and I'm hoping to loose another 25.
But here's the funny part - My husband and I started yet
another "fad diet" on Monday and he's stuck so far I gave up
(way, way too restrictive). I'm going back to what works.
Eat Stop Eat!!!! I'll send you before and after as soon as I
get rid of the last 25.

is that it's soooooo easy!"
Brad, I have been "using" the ESE method
for about 4 weeks now in addition to doing some of Craig's
TT exercises about 2-3 times a week and I have definitely
seen a difference in the way my clothes fit. I haven't
really been weighing myself because as you know, muscle
weighs more than fat! ESE is sooooo easy! I fast 2 days a
week and I drink lots of water (in addition to some coffee
and diet soft drinks, but mostly water!) whenever I feel the
'hunger pains'. When my 24hr fast is over, I try to eat a
reasonable meal and don't worry about counting
calories.
All I can say is that it's soooooo easy
(AND FREE - the fasting that is!) I don't know why more
people don't try the method. I told a friend I was fasting 2
days a week and she commented that "can't be good for you",
but I didn't get a chance to tell her about the program to
explain the benefits.
I think that says it all (in a

My story isn't dramatic so I don't know
if it will be as compelling or helpful as some others I've
seen - people who have lost major amounts of weight using
ESE, which is great! I didn't have much weight to lose when
I ordered your book and starting experimenting with fasting,
since I already counted and monitored my calories and did
lots of weight/resistance training.
However, over the
last several years I had noticed a few pounds creeping on,
and overall it seemed harder and harder to even maintain my
weight. I tried many "diets" and different ways of eating
before I tried ESE, but everything I tried was either not
effective or just not realistic to follow on a regular
basis.
I started doing ESE and lost those few
pounds, and have been able to maintain my weight since. It
is so easy - and refreshing - because it makes so much
sense. I needed a way to further reduce the number of
calories I was eating in any given week, and this is a
surprisingly easy way to do it. I find it easy to go
anywhere from 12-24 hours without eating - it's freeing to
not worry about when, how, how much, how many calories...
And when I break my fast I typically don't eat more than I
would normally.
Like so many people I had been
brainwashed to think that I needed to eat 5-6 small meals a
day. I just read an article in a fitness magazine by a woman
who sets an alarm to remind her to eat every three hours.
Really, is that necessary? I'd rather save my calories and
eat a real meal! Especially at my size, eating so frequently
is hard to do - I was eating these tiny amounts of food to
stay within my caloric range, and sometimes it just made me
hungrier. For me it's easier to just abstain from eating for
a while. Almost every expert, and every one of my friends
and family, tells me this is wrong, but I keep doing it and
I have the body to prove it works, so I hope soon they'll
stop arguing with me.

Dear Brad,
I started the Eat Stop
Eat diet three months ago and have lost over 30 pounds! When
I first read about the idea of fasting, I thought it would
be really hard, especially considering I was always taught
to eat ?three square meals? a day.
The first couple
fasting days were difficult, bordering on depressing. The
thought of not eating to someone who has consistently been
an overeater is not a soothing one. However, after each day,
I felt a greater sense of accomplishment and more of a
disconnect from the thing I thought I could not do
without.
Fasting has become a part of my normal life.
Perhaps one of the greatest things about the Eat Stop Eat
diet is that it is very flexible. If you are going on
vacation, that?s ok! Having tried other diets, such as low
carb, eating away from home generally meant ?cheating? and
would require extra work to recover from any weight gain.
With this diet, you can reset your fast days to before and
after. You can also be flexible with which meals you choose
to skip. You can eat breakfast and then fast the rest of the
day, which can keep you from feeling completely
deprived.

Hey Brad, I'm not even sure if you knew
I was doing Eat Stop Eat, I didn't really mention it to many
people, not for any particular reason, except that I just
usually keep eating and exercise routines to myself unless
someone asks.
You may or may not know, but during my
pregnancy with Owen I gained a LOT of weight. It was/is
extremely stressful for me and gave me substantial
motivation to lose it all. I began Eat Stop Eat in November
'08 and I am still following it. I've mixed Eat Stop Eat
with a resistance training and intervals program and so far
I've managed to lose 72 pounds since my heaviest weight
during my pregnancy.
I've set a weight goal that is
actually less than my pre-pregnancy weight and I was going
